Propeller Clock II

assembled clock

This version has an ugly glitch and until i can pin it down to either construction or software I see this project as a failure to learn from so no schematics here either but some pics I took during contruction.

Assembly[top]

the fan
taken apart

Get a fast DC fan and rip it apart (carefully).

cut of the blades
coil making tools

The rotor will become out secondary coil.

finished primary coil
a shape for the secondary coil

One done, one to go.

finished secondary coil
testing the fit

Making the primary coil to fit over the secondary one.

fixing the coils in epoxy
a fan grill as a baseplate

Epoxy keeps them in place and safe.

Done[top]

assembled
mounted on a wall

As I wrote above this clock has a glitch in timing / sensory somewhere and is not working to my statisfaction yet. The next clock will be build using a pcb and smd parts ... and probably another processor from the MSP430 family.
